9/27 Sunday Primetime TV Ratings Predictions

Sunday Primetime TV

America’s Funniest Home Videos
1.7+

New season and New host for AFHV.  Tom Bergeron has left and Alfonso Ribeiro has replaced him.  I think with a new host, the show might increase a little, but not that much.  Ribeiro was on Dancing With The Stars, where he took home the Ball trophy last Fall!

Once Upon a Time  2.3 @ best

The 5th season of Once Upon a Time premieres tonight and boy am I curious to see where the season goes.  Last season, the season premiered with a 3.7 demographics and ended with a 1.8.

I don’t see the tonight’s ratings making it back to the 3.0 range, but the show will likely be in the 2.0 range with The Savior, Emma Swan now as The Dark One. Also, new character from the movie Brave, “Merida” will also be featured in season 5!

Blood & Oil
Tough call but I’m saying 1.7+

New series Blood & Oil premieres after OUAT!  I’m saying that the show will premiere decent for ABC because I’m not completely confident that the show will do good against Football, and the CSI Movie Series Finale.

Oil has been heavily promoted by ABC.  The only pros I can think of is the cast seem pretty interesting and it is on ABC.  Last season, ABC had the its best performance based on scripted series.  Most of their scripted series were renewed for this season.

If Blood & Oil can keep a 1.5+ throughout its 13 order episodes, when we can see a full 22 episode order and possibly a renewal for next season.

Quantico
1.6+

Quantico Premieres after Blood & Oil, and I think that ABC should of aired another show like Nashville to this time and night.

Quantico was suppose to air on Tuesday at this time-slot, but ABC benched Of Kings and Prophets and decided to moved Quantico here.  It’s a tough call to see how well this series will do because this night and time is one of ABC’s worst time-slots and it’s up against NFL and CSI.

On the positive side, the series has received positive reviews from critics and is said to be “one of the best new series of the season.”

After seeing the preview, I personally think that this is one of my MUST SEE Show!

The series is a diverse group of recruits who have arrived at the FBI Quantico Base for training. They are the best, the brightest and the most vetted, so it seems impossible that one of them is suspected of masterminding the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11.

*If you are a #TGIT Fan, then Quantico is the show for you.

60 Minutes
2.4-2.9

Football Inflation!

CSI Series Finale (Movie Event)
2.0

After 15 year of Crime Scene Investigation, the drama series will finally come to an end with a special movie event.  The series will end around a 2.0 range based on football inflation and the finale event.

Sunday NFL

Will win the night 7.5+ because it’s Football and the most watched and most rating show of the season.

Tonight, FOX will see low ratings from all their shows based on heavy competition from the other networks and due to not having NFL inflation to boost their ratings!

Bob’s Burgers
1.0+

On at 7:30 tonight, won’t benefit from football and will be the start of a weak Animation-Comedy Domination for FOX.

The Simpsons
1.5+

I don’t see The Simpsons rising up in the 2.0 for its premiere because of a weak lead-in from Bob’s Burger and no football boost.

However, the show is renewed for another season, so fan don’t worry, you’ll see another season!

Brooklyn 99
1.2-1.4

Low premiere due to where it ended last season, and no Football boost.

Family Guy
1.7+

FOX’s top comedy drama of the night, it will premiere down from it’s crossover premiere with The Simpsons last season, but should be FOX’s top show of the night.

Last Man On Earth
1.3+

With no Football and weak numbers from the shows before it premieres, LMoE will be at a 1.3 best for the night.
